Json vs Excel

Hi,

In my company, people work on json for data fetching , reading or writing but not excel.
I want to know in what ways json has got advantage over excel and how to read or write data from json.

Is it the case that in some framework json has got advantage over excel. People in my company are working on Page object model.


Plz help me in this regard
